Sleight of hand comes from the Old Norse phrase for “quick fingers” or “trickster fingers.” The technique uses fine motor skills to entertain or influence. Often the use of psychology, timing, misdirection, and natural choreography is used to accomplish sleight of hand magic. Until magicians figure out how to bend physical space and reality, they’ll have to make do with the practice of sleight of hand.
